In the past couple months, we have been having a blast getting to know this family! TALK about sweet people! They invited us over for dinner one night and it was amazing how many things we all have in common! It was so fun... but the best thing we learned about the Hensons was.... they LOVE board games!! WOO hoo! So do WE!! AND... they love the FUN, complex board games that make my Boggle and Monopoly look like Candyland. We agreed that we would need to get together and play some games.
They borrowed our game Empire Builder game and they LOVE it... they play it often! We borrowed their Carcassonne, Ticket To Ride and Bohnanza games.... they are soooo fun. So much better than the board games you find at Walmart! Oh.... we have so much fun playing together!

We have Ticket to Ride and Carcasonne too! Ticket to Ride is sooooo much fun! My BIL Bryan is into games like this - that's where we heard about them.

One of my life goals is to beat Dan and Brian at Empire Builder in the SAME GAME. Since that would be somewhere close to a miracle, I'm not staking my satisfaction in life on that goal. :)

We loaned Garth and Becky Empire Builder and they have been working out their track-building skills for a while now...I think that they could give Brian a run for his money...
As far as the rest of you are concerned (Garth and Becky, Jeremy and Julie, the Goetsch's, and anyone else up to the challenge), we should all get together for a monster Carcasonne tournament! Definitely before the Goetsch's get back on the road in late December...

Jenny, the Gray's love board games too! Some great friends of ours got us started on a game called Settlers! You def need to use your brain on this one! We can bring the coffee, I have a starbucks machine!
