Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue!

This was Isaiah's FAVORITE ride! He could have ridden it over and over again. It's fun and interactive, because you get these "laser guns" to use, and you have to try to defeat Zurg. There are "Z" targets all throughout the ride, and you get scored by how many of these you can hit. It's so fun! Isaiah got quite good at it!

This photo is part of what you see while waiting in line. We never had to wait long at all, thankfully. Usually less than 5 minutes. I recommend late April if you ever want to visit! They always make the line wait very entertaining, preparing your mind for whatever the ride is about. You probably can't tell, but Buzz's face had some kind of special effects going on with it... the whole body was a moving robot, but the face had some sort of video projector in it... that's all I can think of. It was very neat! Disneyland is full of special effects that just leave you scratching your head.


Inside the ride. These will be blurry, because the ride is moving and a flash destroys the effect. Black light it used a lot. You can see people trying to shoot Zurg and his Z targets.

We happened to catch Buzz outside and were able to get an autograph and a photo. Isaiah was so excited! Special memories, for sure.
