Fun on the Fourth of July...

We had a great July 4th this year. Dan had to work, but after that we went to a friend's home for a BBQ. We had already had our fill of fireworks on July 3rd, so we we're concerned about seeing any. There were a few families gathered there and the children had a blast playing. We all lit off sparklers and other small harmless fireworks, and made smores. That was fun and messy. It was a great evening. I even got some fun sunset pictures.

One thing that cracked us up was a picture I got of our youngest trying to kiss a little girl. They are the same age and good pals, when they're not trying to kill each other. Isaiah leaned way in to kiss her and she looked less than enthused. Such funny babies.

I enlarged the picture of Isaiah and the girl to see better, and Anna was standing with me. She didn't care about the kiss - she just said, "Only one person at a time!" It's funny what a child sees.

sniff, sniff... Those pictures of the mountains and the sunset really make me homesick!! What a fun time together with friends. We were all remembering the time we had everybody to our house for the 4th...BBQ-ing, bottle rockets shot off the deck, new baby Isaiah. Such sweet memories.
