Christmas With the Savages

Here are some photos from our Christmas with the Savages. It was so much fun! Dad had a bunch of fun games planned for the kids.... little contests with candy for prizes. It was so much fun and so hilarious too! The first game was a race for pushing a ping pong ball with your nose across the floor to a finish line. Sooooo funny watching the 3 year olds do it! We all were yelling and cheering while the kids raced along. We were proud parents that our 2 oldest boys were the final two winners for that game.

The next game was carrying marshmallows on a teaspoon from a bowl across the room to a glass on a chair. Also hilarious. Especially the younger kids who want to run, but they drop their marshmallows. The teams were evenly split up so that each team had some bigger kids and some toddlers. It was a timed thing, with whichever team getting the most marshmallows into the glass being the winner. WELL, amazingly enough, at the end of the game, we all counted up our marshmallows and there was a tie! Each team had put 39 marshmallows in! So, they all got candy for that game.

We always get together for a great dinner on Christmas Day at the Savages, and this year it was steaks and butterfly shrimp. Yum. Mom made all of her Christmas goodies and candy like she does every year and we all had a wonderful time. Oh, and Brian and Beka announced that they were expecting their own special blessing in September! Praise the Lord for family.
Last week we also had the pleasure of having Dan's brother Jason and his family over for a night of dinner and fun. It was a blast! We stayed up till WAY too late fellowshipping and having a great time. We look forward to doing that again!
