For Valentines Day Dan surprised me with balloons and chocolates when he came home from work. Well, I can't really say it was a "surprise"... although I didn't know what, I had an idea that he would bring home something special. He brought me 5 mylar balloons, one for each of my children. What a sweetie! Then he took us out for a fun dinner and a little shopping. Earlier in the day Josiah had made me a card too! He decorated the front and back and wrote a very personal and heartwarming note inside. He felt like he hadn't been behaving his best lately and was apologizing for it. I was very surprised! I hadn't really noticed any difference in his behavior, he never gives me any trouble. I did have to get onto him about being diligent a few times in his schoolwork... but that's normal. I am thankful he has a good heart that wants to do his best and is yeilding to the Holy Spirit as it convicts him. We pray that he will always be sensitive to sin and the Lord.
So, that all happened on Thrusday. Today, being Saturday (our family day) we had a wonderful time at the ball park. It was very chilly, but not so cold we wanted to go home. Dominoes pizza was having a special on their pizzas until 4 pm, they were only $3.99... so we picked up a few, packed up all of our baseball gear, our bikes, a few footballs and went to the park.
Keturah was asleep for a lot of it, bundled up in her carseat. We had lunch first, then Isaiah played at the playground while Josiah and Gabe rode their bikes. Josiah 
got a new bike for Christmas... he was nervous about it being a larger bike... it felt pretty scary as we were testing it out at the store... but it fits him great now! After much bike riding and jumping off the monkey bars we hiked up the hill to the baseball diamonds. We all took turns batting, pitching and chasing balls. Josiah and Gabriel can hit them well, but Isaiah needs a little assistance. It's easy to see that in just a few years we will have a competent picther, catcher and some feilders to chase the batted balls. Keturah just kept walking around like an over stuffed eskimo in her layers of clothing and big puffy coat that caused her arms to be held out away from her body. She just kept chasing balls and chasing Daddy. It was a great afternoon and we CAN'T wait for the warmer weather to come! Then we can pack a few little frozen hamburgers and some buns and BBQ them at the park. Probably not at this park, but there are many other parks where we can. An all around perfect day. Now I'm off to do some haircuts. (Our boys)
